Fantastic Fest 2009 VIP Badges are SOLD OUT!

In less than 2 hours and a full year before the festival, VIP Badges for Fantastic Fest 2009 are SOLD OUT! Regular Film badges are still on sale at www.fantasticfest.com but judging by the speed of sales on the VIP badges, these may also not last long.

This is sooo lame. I swore after the first year of attending I wouldn't do it again without VIP tickets, and even skipped a year when they sold out last year so fast. Is it posted in advance when they go on sale, cuz it completely missed my radar when to even TRY for 2009 tickets?? i.e. Was there notice?? (The current situation is burning some folks; something needs to change if you want more happy people there...)

It's been posted for at least a week or so because I kept telling all my friends to buy them on the morning of September 20th! It was on the Fantastic Fest site and very likely on the Alamo South site. I was up at 9:30 waiting to buy mine since, yes, it is much better going with a V.I.P. badge than with a regular one.

How 'bout next year they go on sale at the end of the festival, when it's not so distracting to be online at the exact right moment to get tickets when in full swing (hungover, just got to bed, etc.).
